                    <description>&lt;br /&gt; Here's a few words from your CSR Team:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;p class="news_quote"&gt;  &amp;quot;The Arispotle CSR team kicked off the anniversary celebration of Ryzom at 0001 hours GMT with spontaneous fireworks and greeting players.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; Although the actual celebration of Arispotle was scheduled for 8PM GMT, the team split up and conducted many fun events prior to the main celebration. For Silan these events included find Avenna's lost mektoub, scavenger hunt, PvP last him standing event in arena, trivia quizes and two special events team run events the Jena Commandments, and the revelations of Ma-Duk. The Mainland events included Mektoub Races, hunt down GM Daestny, Trivia quiz, last Homin standing PvP event in the Matis arena.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; The actual event in Almati Wood was attended by an estimated 200+ Homins. We started with opening remarks by SGM Androbia followed by a long fireworks display. GM Daestny gave a rendition of &amp;ldquo;a tale of reconciliation&amp;rdquo; to set the tone for peace and cooperation among the players. As soon as that was over we did Trivia quiz in Almati Wood and Silan. Almati events then continued with &amp;ldquo;Choose The CSR&amp;rdquo; and scavenger hunt. After about one hour was conducted the happy wedding of Niobe and Pryath, and festivities continued. :)&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; Post celebration activities continued at a rapid pace until about 0330-0400 GMT on the 17th, with extra attention paid to Silan young Homins. We want to thank everyone for attending the celebration with such a cheerful mood. Thank you for these unforgettable moments!&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;

                    <description>&lt;br /&gt; This small patch will include the fix for the Outpost Squads, which will allow you to select Squads of your choice again as well as their location, and it will also include a &lt;em&gt;temporary&lt;/em&gt; change of the loot messages location you get when teamed.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; These messages will be floating messages at the bottom of your screen and won't be displayed in your System Info window anymore. This will prevent you from being &amp;quot;flooded&amp;quot; but still preserve a way to see the information, while we prepare a system of filters to allow you to display only what you want, as explained &lt;a target="_blank" href="http://forums.ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?p=412879#post412879"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.</description>

                    <title>Monday is Patch Day</title>

                    <description>&lt;br /&gt; This patch contains what you've helped us to test on the ATS these last weeks. The main things:&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; Your Stamina consumption will depend on weapon's weight.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; Fame and female titles will be added and some existing ones will be modified.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; In Tagged PvP, you won't be kicked out of your team anymore.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; The Outposts ban option will let you ban from one side only. Attacker will only ban from the attacker side, defender will only ban from the defender side. Of course a player/guild could be banned by both the attacker and the defender.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; You'll notice some ergonomic improvements, find the list &lt;a href="../../../../../development/development-documents/detailed-development-documents/ergonomic-improvements?set_language=en"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; Your sap crystals will stack.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; The target option in compass will behave better. The default zoom will be set at 50m and not 25m.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; The very first steps on the Ruins of Silan will be a little easier, thanks to Chiang and other key Rangers explaining better where things are.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; The list of your missions will be reversed in your journal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;We want to thank you for all your feedback from ATS, which tremendously helped us for this patch and also for the melee and range weapon patches to come. :)  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br style="font-weight: bold;" /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;[UPDATE - July 25, 4pm GMT]&lt;/span&gt; We're closing the live servers to retro-patch the game to patch 619, as explained &lt;a href="http://forums.ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30789"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br style="font-weight: bold;" /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;[UPDATE - August 6, 3pm GMT]&lt;/span&gt; The game servers will be closed for patching tomorrow, Tuesday 7th, from 7.30am GMT until approximately 9am GMT. This is to apply the features from patch 633 (listed above) with the addition of some fixes for the server instability problems.</description>

    &lt;li&gt;Important feature concerning melee users: your consumption of Stamina will depend on the weight of your weapon.&lt;br /&gt; It is important for us to get your feedback on this point as this will most likely change your fighting habits. The goal of this change is to make the melee fights more interesting and to give a meaning to the &amp;quot;weight&amp;quot; statistic of weapons. Crafters are welcome to try new recipes to provide different kind of weapons and help testing combat. &lt;a target="_blank" href="http://forums.ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30581"&gt;[ Leave feedback on Weight/Stamina ]&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

    &lt;li&gt;You sap crystals will stack.&lt;/li&gt;

    &lt;li&gt;You will notice female homins have female titles.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Some titles will be changed according to your feedback on the document published &lt;a href="../../06/21/titles-change-new-proposition"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;RoS: Chiang the Strong will be less chatty and will only welcome you. A female Zoraï will be the NPC giving directions inside the Rangers camp and information about Homins and Factions. Thanks to her, refugees won't be lost anymore.&lt;/li&gt;

                    <title>Titles change - New proposition</title>

                    <description>&lt;br /&gt; We compiled your feedback that followed our first proposition (&lt;a href="../../../2005/07/18/titles-changes---proposition"&gt;read the news here&lt;/a&gt;). We invite you to read carefully this updated &lt;a href="../../../../../data/cm/titles_revamp_v2_070621.xls"&gt;spreadsheet&lt;/a&gt; where we listed changing titles in green and yellow, and unchanged titles in white. This file can be read with Open Office, Microsoft Excel or other Excel file viewers.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; You are free to propose titles that you think fit better. We will add the proposed changes into the upcoming patch except titles you clearly reject. Note that a few titles can only be changed all together to keep consistency, like the 250 melee titles or 201 magic titles, in which case we will change everything or nothing depending on your feedback.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; This proposition is to be seen as the first step towards titles improvement. To make the change more interesting, we plan on adding a female version of the titles in the same time, as the piece of code needed for it is now ready.&lt;br /&gt; Then later (understand several months), we may differentiate more accurately the crafting titles so that you get a title for each craft sub-branch. And lastly, we would add titles that you get only after finishing several skill branches (such as &amp;quot;archmage&amp;quot; if you got every magic skills at level 250).                     <description>&lt;br /&gt;A spectacular event where the Journeyers from Cho and the Refugees and Wayfarers from Arispotle could properly unite for the first time under a common banner.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Cyrize, acting Master of Ceremonies, opened with beautiful words which later introduced the four nervous homins, Mokdarion, Fasinia, Final, and Zepth, who exchanged gifts with one another, as symbols of offerings from each community. The formalities where closely followed by an amazing spectacle of fireworks by the members of the Atrium Keepers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Afterwards, the evening continued on with fun and games for the homins who made it past Pyr bar. The excitement went uninterrupted long into the night with homins who had never met each other talking and embracing like brothers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;h3&gt; What is transfered?&lt;/h3&gt;

    &lt;li&gt;All Cho characters are transfered to Arispotle with their apartment inventory, mektoubs inventories and emails. This rule applies to both regular and Free Trial accounts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;All Cho guilds are transfered to Arispotle with their guild hall inventory and forum.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;The Outpost status from Cho are NOT transfered to Arispotle. Maybe it's time to do a final battle royale on Cho?&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h3&gt; What rules will be applied during the merging?&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Any Cho character (and Cho only) who did not log into the game since the &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;1st of March 2007&lt;/span&gt; will be deleted.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;In the case of common character name, the creation date of the character will prevail and the oldest character keeps its name. However, if the oldest one was never used, then the newest character will keep the name.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;A &amp;quot;Z&amp;quot; (or more if necessary) will be added at the end of the character names that need to be changed. I.E.: Jenazz. We invite you to contact your favorite CSR after the merging if you want to change your name within the boundaries of the Naming Policy.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Good news, there are no common guild name between Cho and Arispotle, so no guild name will change.&lt;/li&gt;

    &lt;li&gt;Outposts: When challenging an OP, you now need to have at least one guild member of roughly the level of the OP online (the guild member needs to be at least 50 levels lower than the quality of the op for highest skill the guild member has). I.E. To attack a lvl 100 the member needs to be at least lvl 50.&lt;br /&gt; This same member also has to be part of the guild since a certain time, which is 5 days for a level 50 OP, 10 days for a level 100, and so on until 25 days to declare on a level 250 OP.&lt;/li&gt;

    &lt;li&gt;When you launch Ryzom, a second application opens to manage the patching process.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;The patching process is divided into 2 parts:
    &lt;ol style="list-style-type: decimal;"&gt;
        &lt;li&gt;The basic files required for Ryzom are patched in much the same way as they were in the past.&lt;/li&gt;
        &lt;li&gt;The terrain related files are patched while the game is running.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;/ol&gt;
    &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;When the terrain data is being patched there is now a patch progress bar in the character selection screen. This bar must reach the end before you can play in mainland or in the Ring. You can play in the Ruins of Silan without waiting for the patching to finish.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;A new window can be opened while the game is running to manage the background patcher. This window is only of interest for players playing in the Ruins of Silan while patching the terrain files.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;h3&gt; Other changes that come along with this patch:&lt;/h3&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;New and clearer login screen.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Removal of the 'Nevrax' window.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;You will have the ability to create an account directly in the client without going on the website.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;You will only be prompted to accept the EULA after a patch and not each time you enter your login.&lt;/li&gt;

Hopefully by next week the 3 months and 6 months options will be available again.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One of the results of the reopening is the level cap on Ruins of Silan (the starter island) that has been brought back to level 21. If your character already went past this level, he won't lose the extra levels. However if he didn't, once he reaches the level 21 he won't gain any XP anymore. If a character had the same name as a char from Arispotle, it hasn't been copied.&lt;br /&gt;More recent characters and Cho characters don't exist on the ATS as we're using characters saves from a few months ago, so&amp;nbsp; you may need to create a new character on the ATS.                     <description>&lt;br /&gt;The first news is that while the game WILL continue to run and be  supported, Nevrax (as a corporate entity) will be going into  receivership next month. We emphasize again that the game will continue  to run and be supported as this is not the beginning of the end - just  the end of the beginning. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;As you all, we love our game and we want to see Atys and its homins  continue to evolve. We are not alone in this feeling as from the shadows  a company has emerged and are currently preparing a plan to take on  Ryzom. We can't tell you more at the moment since it is being discussed  but we will keep you informed when we get hard facts. We can assure you  that much is happening behind the scenes. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;In the meantime, Ryzom goes on. Your CSRs will continue to help you and  to take care of everything, while our devs will continue to work on  their current schedule: the next step is to patch the ATS with a few new  things. So basically, while these negotiations are ongoing, everything  else is business as usual. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;As we don't want to cheat on you, while Nevrax is going through this  transition period, the following actions have just been taken today  around 3pm GMT regarding the billing system: &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;All existing subscribed accounts created before 3pm GMT will be turned into free account with 1 month of free access.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

    &lt;li&gt;It will not be possible to pay to subscribe to a full Ryzom account  anymore.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;You will still be able to create a Free Trial account, but at the  moment there will be no possibility to upgrade your account and go to  mainland. As a result we've removed the level cap for the Free Trial to give  players in the Ruins of Silan much more to achieve in the meantime.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;As things develop you can expect a return to the usual more conventional  account options soon.</description>

                    <description>What is it? The &lt;a target="_blank" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloom_%28shader_effect%29"&gt;bloom&lt;/a&gt; brings a slight blur effect to the game display and as a result the shades are smoother. The effect will be made optional and you will be able to tune the strength of the effect through a slider.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When can we expect it? We plan to patch it on the ATS (Advanced Test Server) within the month and we will open it to every subscriber. I now wish to promote it a bit!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Before I come to the meat of it, here are some details: Radio-SoR is a web-radio server that is run by me (some of you may know me as xenofur on the forums). It always broadcasts a 2 hours long music-medley that was put together by Acridiel. This medley was made to fit Ryzom and is there to ensure that there is never silence on the air. ;) Additionally, DJs can hop online anytime via Winamp and a simple web interface to offer live content. To ensure that people aren't stuck with a DJ who doesn't stream music to their taste, there are two different stations and more can be added if necessary.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; Now there are two crucial points to this: we need more motivated DJs who want to offer live content as well as more listeners that are interested in listening to music broadcasted by their fellow players, while they are playing Ryzom (or working, etc).&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt; If you already had experience with web-radios you can simply go to the &lt;a href="http://radio-sor.no-ip.org/"&gt;Web-Interface&lt;/a&gt; and load the url of the station you'd like to listen to into your audio player.     &lt;li&gt;The Free Trial will be changed regarding the experience you can get. If you don't have a paying account, then you won't get any XP after the level 21 (for any skill tree). As a result, there are several stanzas that you won't be able to learn.&lt;br /&gt;If you've subscribed then you don't have any limitation anymore, as it is now.&lt;br /&gt;This rule will also apply on Free Trials created before the patch.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

    &lt;li&gt;You should be able to trade with other characters in a Ring scenario again. Basically:&lt;br /&gt;

        &lt;li&gt;You will have complete freedom to trade with characters from your shard.&lt;/li&gt;

    &lt;ul&gt;
        &lt;li&gt;You won't be able to trade certain items with people from the other shards, such as Outpost drilled and crafted items.&lt;/li&gt;
        &lt;li&gt;You won't be able to exchange dappers or items with Cho inhabitants. This restriction might change depending on Cho's evolution.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;A new tab should appear in your Identity window (&amp;quot;p&amp;quot;). It will indicate:&lt;br /&gt;

        &lt;li&gt; Your knowledge of Atys scores (previously refered to as &amp;quot;Ring points&amp;quot;).&lt;/li&gt;
        &lt;li&gt;The Ring Reward Points you earned in adventures (this system won't be activated in this patch).&lt;/li&gt;
        &lt;li&gt;Your ratings as a scenario creator, as an adventure master and as a scenario organiser (these ratings won't progress until we activate the &amp;quot;RRP&amp;quot;).&lt;/li&gt;
